How can Machine Learning help to built robust supply chains for CNC machined parts?

During a joint project with InstaWerk we worked together with their team on supply chain optimization strategies based on machine learning. Here are my 3 main findings:

  1. Supply chains are complex and dynamic: While state of the art machine learning algorithms are based on training data from the past, this approach makes limited sense on ever-changing systems. This is why we developed an "ever-green" approach to our algorithms.

  2. It is all driven by quality in Germany: Therefore, availability and price are important but quality is key. Our main target was about securing quality in a changing environment.

  3. It is a number game: As a individual company, you cannot beat the purchasing power of platforms: By combining and dividing orders, InstaWerk can offer high quality at an unbeatable price. If you look into the price and negotiation dynamics, this is really impressive.

What do you think? How can supply chains be supported by artificial intelligence? Leave your opinion on my LinkedIn Post.
